Stormbreath Dragon, Creature — dragon, designed by Slawomir Maniak first released in Sep, 2013 in the set Theros and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A red aggressive deck that aims to quickly close out games would benefit from including Stormbreath Dragon, as its flying, haste, and protection from white make it a potent threat that can deal damage swiftly. While there may be other competitive options in the format, such as Glorybringer or Thundermaw Hellkite, Stormbreath Dragon's ability to become monstrous and potentially deal significant damage to opponents based on their hand size can make it a strong choice in certain metagames, especially against control decks. Overall, Stormbreath Dragon can be a solid inclusion in the right deck and should see play in the appropriate strategy.

For each opponent, count the number of cards in that player’s hand when the last ability resolves to determine how much damage Stormbreath Dragon does to them.

Monstrous isn’t an ability that a creature has. It’s just something true about that creature. If the creature stops being a creature or loses its abilities, it will continue to be monstrous.
