This card would be beneficial in a White Weenie or Lifegain deck in Magic: the Gathering, where gaining life and having a steady stream of creatures entering the battlefield is key. While Soul's Attendant is a decent choice for its low cost and consistent life gain, a stronger alternative could be Soul Warden, which has a similar effect but triggers on any creature entering the battlefield, not just your own. Whether Soul's Attendant sees play would depend on the specific strategy and synergies of the deck it's included in.
