About Serum Powder

Serum Powder, Artifact, designed by Matt Thompson first released in Feb, 2004 in the set Darksteel and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

A deck that benefits from using Serum Powder is one that relies on specific key cards or combo pieces to function effectively, as the card allows for a pseudo-mulligan that can help dig for those crucial pieces. However, there are arguably better options available, such as Once Upon a Time, which provides card selection without the need to exile your hand. Whether Serum Powder should see play ultimately depends on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, but it may be more situational compared to other card selection options.

Rules

11/17/17

You can use Serum Powder’s second ability only while it’s in your hand. If this card is in your hand, you can choose either to mulligan or to use Serum Powder’s ability. Using the ability doesn’t prevent you from taking further mulligans, and taking a mulligan doesn’t prevent you from using a Serum Powder’s ability if you happen to draw one in your new hand.
