Obscuring Aether, Enchantment, designed by Min Yum first released in Mar, 2015 in the set Dragons of Tarkir and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card would benefit a deck that focuses on playing face-down creatures, such as a morph or manifest deck in Magic: the Gathering. While Obscuring Aether can provide cost reduction for face-down creature spells, there are better cards like Trail of Mystery that offer additional benefits such as card advantage. However, if the deck heavily relies on face-down creatures, Obscuring Aether could still see play as a budget option or as a supplement to other similar effects in the deck.

Obscuring Aether has no effect on spells that instruct you to manifest cards.
