This card could be beneficial in a deck focused on controlling the board by removing opponent's creatures, especially in a black-based control or sacrifice deck. However, the drawback of having to insult creatures to keep Mother of Goons on the battlefield may limit its effectiveness. There are potentially better cards that offer similar abilities without the drawback, such as Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos, which force opponents to sacrifice creatures without any conditions.
