This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on creating a resilient and growing threat, such as a green aggro or midrange deck. While Mossdog's ability to grow in response to opponent's spells or abilities can be useful in certain situations, there are likely better options available in terms of efficiency and power level, such as Pelt Collector or Experiment One. Mossdog may not see much play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks due to its relatively slow growth potential compared to other options available.
