About Idle Thoughts

Idle Thoughts, Enchantment, designed by Steven Belledin first released in Jul, 2008 in the set Eventide.

This card, Idle Thoughts, would benefit a control deck that aims to empty its hand quickly through card draw and manipulation. While it can provide card advantage in the right circumstances, there are better options like Ancestral Recall or Brainstorm that offer more immediate and powerful card draw effects. Idle Thoughts may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its limited utility compared to other more efficient card draw spells.

Rules

08/01/08

You can activate the ability whether or not you have any cards in your hand. However, you’ll draw a card only if your hand is empty when the ability resolves. (This card works differently than the _Tempest_(TM) card Fool’s Tome.)
