About Dead Reckoning

Dead Reckoning, Sorcery, designed by Svetlin Velinov first released in Feb, 2010 in the set Worldwake.

This card, Dead Reckoning, would be beneficial in a black-based graveyard recursion deck that focuses on bringing creatures back from the graveyard and dealing damage to opponent's creatures. While it has potential in certain strategies, there are more efficient cards like Reanimate or Animate Dead that provide better value for similar effects. Dead Reckoning may see play in casual or themed decks, but in competitive environments, it may not be the optimal choice.

Rules

03/01/10

If the targeted creature is an illegal target as Dead Reckoning resolves (because it’s no longer on the battlefield, perhaps), you may still put the targeted creature card from your graveyard on top of your library. No damage will be dealt.

03/01/10

You must choose two targets as you cast Dead Reckoning: a creature card in your graveyard and a creature on the battlefield. If you can’t, then you can’t cast the spell.
