Bristling Hydra, Creature — hydra, designed by Chris Rahn first released in Jan, 2007 in the set Resale Promos and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.
A deck focused on energy counters and +1/+1 counters synergy, such as a Green Energy deck in Magic: the Gathering, would benefit from using Bristling Hydra. While there may be stronger cards in terms of power level and efficiency, Bristling Hydra's ability to generate energy and protect itself with hexproof can be valuable in certain matchups, making it a viable inclusion in decks that can support its mechanics effectively.

Energy counters aren’t mana. They don’t go away as steps, phases, and turns end, and effects that add mana “of any type” to your mana pool can’t give you energy counters.
