A deck with a focus on controlling the opponent's board and draining their life total could benefit from using Blood Seeker in Magic: the Gathering. However, there are arguably better cards that offer similar effects for more impactful plays, such as Zulaport Cutthroat or Blood Artist. While Blood Seeker may have niche uses, it may not be the most competitive choice for decks aiming to maximize efficiency in draining the opponent's life total.

Life loss is not the same as damage. Blood Seeker’s ability will not cause creatures with bloodthirst to enter the battlefield with +1/+1 counters.
