Aura of Silence, Enchantment, designed by D. Alexander Gregory first released in Jun, 1997 in the set Weatherlight and was printed exactly in 9 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Premodern.
A deck that focuses on control and disruption would benefit from using Aura of Silence, as it can slow down opponents by making their artifact and enchantment spells more expensive while also providing removal options. However, a better alternative might be Stony Silence, which shuts down all artifacts for just 1W and doesn't require sacrificing the enchantment. While Aura of Silence can be situationally useful, Stony Silence is generally more effective and sees more play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
