About Agitator Ant

Agitator Ant, Creature — insect, designed by Igor Kieryluk first released in Apr, 2020 in the set Commander 2020 and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.

A deck focused on aggressive strategies and encouraging combat would benefit from using Agitator Ant in Magic: the Gathering. While the card provides a potential boost to creatures and can disrupt opponents by goading their creatures, there are more efficient options available such as Goblin Rabblemaster or Legion Warboss, which offer immediate board impact without the risk of enabling opponents' attacks. Agitator Ant could see play in more casual or themed decks looking to create chaotic and unpredictable gameplay situations.

Rules

04/17/20

As Agitator Ant’s ability resolves, first you choose which creature you control, if any, to put two +1/+1 counters on, then each other player in turn order does the same, knowing the choices made before them. Then each chosen creature receives its +1/+1 counters and becomes goaded.

04/17/20

Attacking with a goaded creature doesn’t cause it to stop being goaded.

04/17/20

If a goaded creature can’t attack for any reason (such as being tapped or having come under that player’s control that turn), then it doesn’t attack. If there’s a cost associated with having it attack, its controller isn’t forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t have to attack in that case either.

04/17/20

If you goad a creature you control, it must attack and it must attack a player rather than a planeswalker.
