This card, Wall of Shadows, would benefit a defensive control deck looking to stall the game and protect itself from creature-based damage. While it has some niche protection abilities, there are better options available such as Wall of Omens which draws a card upon entering the battlefield, or Wall of Blossoms which replaces itself with a card draw. Wall of Shadows may not see much play in competitive settings due to its limited utility compared to other options available.
