This card, Tel-Jilad Defiance, would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on protecting key creatures from artifact-based removal or abilities. Decks that rely on creatures with powerful abilities or that are vulnerable to artifact-based removal would find this card useful. However, there are better options available such as Blossoming Defense which provides hexproof in addition to a power boost. Whether Tel-Jilad Defiance should see play would depend on the specific meta and strategy of the deck, but it may be worth considering as a sideboard option in certain matchups.

“Protection from artifacts” means the following: -- The affected creature can't be blocked by artifact creatures. -- The affected creature can't be equipped. If any Equipment are attached to it, they become unattached. The affected creature also can't be enchanted by Auras that have somehow become artifacts in addition to enchantments. -- The affected creature can't be targeted by abilities from artifact sources. -- All damage that would be dealt to the affected creature by artifact sources is prevented.
