About Sunrise Seeker

Sunrise Seeker, Creature — human scout, designed by Filip Burburan first released in May, 2020 in the set Ixalan and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

Sunrise Seeker would be a valuable addition to a White-based midrange or control deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing both a solid body with vigilance and card advantage through exploration. While there may be more powerful cards available for similar mana costs, Sunrise Seeker's versatility and potential for card advantage make it a strong contender for inclusion in decks looking to maintain board presence while generating card advantage. Its ability to scale with +1/+1 counters also adds resilience and flexibility to its role on the battlefield, making it a card worth considering for play in the right deck.

Rules

01/19/18

If a resolving spell or ability instructs a specific creature to explore but that creature has left the battlefield, the creature still explores. If you reveal a nonland card this way, you won’t put a +1/+1 counter on anything, but you may put the revealed card into your graveyard. Effects that trigger “whenever a creature you control explores” trigger if appropriate.

01/19/18

Once an ability that causes a creature to explore begins to resolve, no player may take any other actions until it’s done. Notably, opponents can’t try to remove the exploring creature after you reveal a nonland card but before it receives a counter.
