About Sudden Disappearance
Sudden Disappearance, Sorcery, designed by Cliff Childs first released in Feb, 2012 in the set Dark Ascension.
A deck that focuses on controlling the board and stalling the game would benefit from using Sudden Disappearance, as it can provide a temporary reset by removing all nonland permanents from the opponent's side of the battlefield. However, for a similar effect with more versatility, Cyclonic Rift is often considered a better card due to its overload ability and lower mana cost, making it a more popular choice in competitive play. Nonetheless, Sudden Disappearance could still see play in certain strategies that aim to disrupt the opponent's board state and buy time to set up their own win condition.
