About Sea Drake

Sea Drake, Creature — drake, designed by Rebecca Guay first released in Jun, 1998 in the set Portal Second Age and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

This Sea Drake card could be beneficial in a deck that focuses on tempo and disrupting the opponent's mana base, such as a control or tempo deck. However, the drawback of returning two lands to your hand could be significant, potentially setting you back in terms of mana development. There are better cards that offer similar effects with less downside, such as Man-o'-War or Reflector Mage, which can bounce an opponent's creature instead. Overall, Sea Drake may not see much play in competitive decks due to its high cost and drawback compared to more efficient options available.

Rules

10/01/08

When the ability resolves, if one of the lands has become an illegal target (because it’s no longer on the battlefield, for example), you return the other one to your hand. If both of the lands have become illegal targets, the ability doesn’t resolve. This has no effect on Sea Drake.
