Sandals of Abdallah, Artifact, designed by Dan Frazier first released in Dec, 1993 in the set Arabian Nights.
A deck using Sandals of Abdallah would benefit from having creatures with islandwalk to take advantage of the unblockable ability. However, the downside of potentially losing the sandals if the enchanted creature dies that turn may limit its effectiveness. Cards like Spreading Seas or Curious Obsession may provide more reliable ways to achieve a similar effect without the risk of losing the enchantment, making Sandals of Abdallah less optimal for competitive play unless in a very specific tribal Merfolk deck.
