Rod of Ruin, Artifact, designed by Christopher Rush first released in May, 2020 in the set Limited Edition Alpha and was printed exactly in 26 different ways.
A deck that focuses on dealing direct damage or controlling the board through incremental damage would benefit from including Rod of Ruin, as it provides a repeatable source of damage. However, there are better options available in Magic: the Gathering for a similar effect, such as Lightning Bolt or Shock, which offer more efficient damage output for their cost. Rod of Ruin may not see play in competitive decks due to its higher mana cost and slower effect compared to other options available.
