Obelisk of Esper, Artifact, designed by Francis Tsai first released in Oct, 2008 in the set Shards of Alara and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
This card, Obelisk of Esper, would benefit control decks in Magic: the Gathering that run white, blue, and black colors, as it provides flexibility in mana fixing and can help cast spells of different colors. However, there are better options available such as the tri-lands like Arcane Sanctum or the Signet mana rocks which provide more consistent mana fixing and ramp. While Obelisk of Esper could see play in budget or casual decks, more competitive decks would likely opt for more efficient mana sources.
