About Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast

Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast, Legendary planeswalker — lukka, designed by Chris Rallis first released in Apr, 2020 in the set Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.

This Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast card would be beneficial in a deck focused on cheating out high mana value creatures quickly, such as a red aggressive deck or a midrange deck with big creatures. While it can be powerful in the right strategy, some players may prefer other cards like Chandra, Torch of Defiance or Sarkhan the Masterless for their versatility and immediate impact on the board. Whether Lukka sees play would depend on the specific deck strategy and meta, but it certainly has potential in the right build.

Rules

04/17/20

For each creature card exiled with Lukka’s first ability, you can cast it as long as you control any Lukka planeswalker, not just the one that exiled the card.

04/17/20

If you reveal your entire library without revealing a creature card with higher converted mana cost, you put the library back in a random order and continue.

04/17/20

You may cast creature cards exiled with Lukka’s first ability as noncreature spells if a rule or effect allows you to do so. For example, adventurer cards from the Throne of Eldraine set may be cast as Adventures.

04/17/20

You still pay any costs for spells cast from Lukka’s first ability. You may pay alternative costs, such as mutate costs.
