About Hypnotic Siren

Hypnotic Siren, Enchantment creature — siren, designed by James Ryman first released in May, 2014 in the set Journey into Nyx.

This Hypnotic Siren card would be beneficial in a deck focused on controlling the board and maintaining air superiority, especially in a blue-based tempo or control deck. While it provides a strong evasive threat and can steal opponents' creatures, there are potentially better options like Brazen Borrower or Vendilion Clique that offer more versatility and disruptive abilities, making them more likely choices for competitive play. However, Hypnotic Siren could still see play in more casual or budget-friendly decks looking for a solid flying creature with control elements.

Rules

04/26/14

Auras attached to a creature don’t become tapped when the creature becomes tapped. Except in some rare cases, an Aura with bestow remains untapped when it becomes unattached and becomes a creature.

04/26/14

On the stack, a spell with bestow is either a creature spell or an Aura spell. It’s never both, although it’s an enchantment spell in either case.

04/26/14

Unlike other Auras, an Aura with bestow isn’t put into its owner’s graveyard if it becomes unattached. Rather, the effect making it an Aura ends, it loses enchant creature, and it remains on the battlefield as an enchantment creature. It can attack (and its abilities can be activated, if it has any) on the turn it becomes unattached if it’s been under your control continuously, even as an Aura, since your most recent turn began.

10/17/13

If you cast Hypnotic Siren for its bestow cost, and you gain control of a creature with a constellation ability, that ability will trigger when Hypnotic Siren enters the battlefield. You’ll control that triggered ability.
