About Gift of Estates

Gift of Estates, Sorcery, designed by Kaja Foglio first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 9 different ways.

A deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and efficiently would benefit from using Gift of Estates, as it helps to catch up in land count and ensures consistent access to Plains cards for mana fixing. However, there are potentially better cards like Land Tax or Knight of the White Orchid that offer more consistent land advantage without the condition of opponent's land count. Gift of Estates could see play in certain white-based decks looking for additional land ramp options, but it may not be a staple card in most competitive decks.

Rules

08/01/05
