Fruit of Tizerus, Sorcery, designed by Bastien L. Deharme first released in Jan, 2020 in the set Theros Beyond Death.
Fruit of Tizerus could be beneficial in a mono-black control deck that focuses on draining the opponent's life total. However, there are better options available such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, which has a similar effect but with a higher impact. Fruit of Tizerus may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its limited effectiveness compared to other cards with similar effects.

After an escaped spell resolves, it returns to its owner’s graveyard if it’s not a permanent spell. If it is a permanent spell, it enters the battlefield and will return to its owner’s graveyard if it dies later. Perhaps it will escape again—good underworld security is so hard to come by these days.
