About Forced Retreat

Forced Retreat, Sorcery, designed by Huang Qishi first released in May, 1999 in the set Portal Three Kingdoms and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A control deck that focuses on tempo and disruption would benefit from using Forced Retreat in Magic: the Gathering. By putting a key creature back on top of its owner's library, this card can disrupt an opponent's strategy and buy precious time to set up your own win condition. However, there are better options like Unsummon or Vapor Snag that provide similar effects at a lower cost, making them more efficient choices for competitive play. Forced Retreat could still see play in more casual or budget decks looking for a similar effect.
