About Emberhorn Minotaur

Emberhorn Minotaur, Creature — minotaur warrior, designed by Viktor Titov first released in Apr, 2017 in the set Amonkhet and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on aggressive, fast-paced strategies would benefit from using Emberhorn Minotaur, as it provides a solid body with the potential to become even more threatening with the exert ability. However, there are potentially better cards for this type of deck, such as Ahn-Crop Crasher, which has a similar effect but also has the ability to tap down opposing blockers. Emberhorn Minotaur could still see play in decks looking for additional threats and combat tricks.

Rules

04/18/17

If you gain control of another player’s creature until end of turn and exert it, it will untap during that player’s untap step.

04/18/17

You can’t exert a creature unless an effect allows you to do so. Similar effects that “tap and freeze” a creature (such as that of Decision Paralysis) don’t exert that creature.
