Dragon-Style Twins would be a strong addition to a red aggressive deck that focuses on casting noncreature spells to trigger its prowess ability and maximize its double strike potential. While Dragon-Style Twins can be a powerful threat on the battlefield, there may be better options available such as Monastery Swiftspear or Stormchaser Mage that offer similar abilities for a lower mana cost, making them more efficient choices for competitive play.

Any spell you cast that doesn’t have the type creature will cause prowess to trigger. If a spell has multiple types, and one of those types is creature (such as an artifact creature), casting it won’t cause prowess to trigger. Playing a land also won’t cause prowess to trigger.

Once it triggers, prowess isn’t connected to the spell that caused it to trigger. If that spell is countered, prowess will still resolve.
