About Deeproot Waters

Deeproot Waters, Enchantment, designed by Zezhou Chen first released in Sep, 2017 in the set Ixalan and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck focused on Merfolk tribal synergies in Magic: The Gathering would greatly benefit from including Deeproot Waters, as it provides a consistent source of hexproof Merfolk tokens whenever Merfolk spells are cast. While there may be other powerful options for Merfolk decks, such as Lord of Atlantis or Master of the Pearl Trident, Deeproot Waters can be a valuable addition to the strategy, especially in a more defensive or tempo-oriented build. Overall, Deeproot Waters can see play in the right Merfolk deck, adding resilience and board presence to the tribal strategy.
