Crypt Ripper, Creature — shade, designed by Dave Kendall first released in Oct, 2009 in the set Zendikar.
Crypt Ripper can be a valuable addition to an aggressive black deck that focuses on quick creature damage. Its Haste ability allows for immediate impact on the board, and its ability to pump itself up for additional damage can be useful in closing out games. However, there are better cards in Magic: the Gathering that offer similar effects with potentially greater impact, such as Vampire Nighthawk or Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. While Crypt Ripper may not be a top-tier card, it could still see play in more budget or casual decks looking for a solid aggressive option.
