About Border Patrol

Border Patrol, Creature — human nomad, designed by Roger Raupp first released in May, 2002 in the set Judgment.

Border Patrol, being a creature with vigilance and a cost of 4W, fits well in a white-based control or midrange deck that focuses on maintaining board presence while being able to attack and defend simultaneously. It can be particularly effective in decks that utilize a lot of creature synergies or benefit from tapping and untapping creatures, such as those featuring cards like Trostani, Selesnya's Voice or Heliod, Sun-Crowned. However, there are arguably stronger options for a similar mana cost, such as Adanto Vanguard or Skyclave Apparition, which offer more versatility or immediate impact. While Border Patrol can see play in certain niche strategies, it may not be the optimal choice compared to these alternatives.
