Aven Sunstriker, Creature — bird warrior, designed by John Severin Brassell first released in Mar, 2015 in the set Dragons of Tarkir.
Aven Sunstriker would be a great addition to a white aggressive deck that focuses on flying creatures and combat tricks, as its double strike ability can deal significant damage quickly. However, there are better options available such as Adorned Pouncer, which has a lower mana cost, a similar double strike ability, and can be embalmed for value. While Aven Sunstriker can be a solid inclusion in certain strategies, it may not see as much play compared to more efficient alternatives in the current metagame.

Turning a face-down creature with megamorph face up and putting a +1/+1 counter on it is a special action. It doesn’t use the stack and can’t be responded to.
