Ella Langley is an American country singer and songwriter from Hope Hull, Alabama, a community south of Montgomery. She grew up around Southern music and began performing while still young, developing the direct, conversational style that later became central to her recordings. After moving toward Nashville, she built attention through independent releases and live performances rather than arriving with an established family name or a television competition victory.

Langley’s early breakthrough came with her 2023 EP, Excuse the Mess. The project introduced a singer whose writing combines modern country production with candid accounts of attraction, heartbreak, drinking, and complicated independence. In 2025, Langley received the Academy of Country Music Award for New Female Artist of the Year, confirming her rapid rise within Nashville’s mainstream country community.
