As a fan of Tolkien's works and someone who appreciates depth and nuance in storytelling, I have found Peter Jackson's films to be masterful adaptations that captured the essence of Middle-earth. While I am intrigued by the potential of Amazon's new LOTR show, I believe it would be a tall order to surpass the cinematic achievement of Jackson's vision. The films have left an indelible mark on the fantasy genre and have set a high standard for any future adaptations to aspire to.
