Ein Deck, das sich auf das Wirken mehrerer historischer Zauber konzentriert, würde von der Verwendung von Traxos, der Geißel von Kroog, profitieren, da es zu einer mächtigen Bedrohung werden kann, wenn es ständig ungenutzt bleibt. Allerdings kann der Nachteil, getappt zu betreten und während des Enttap-Schritts nicht zu enttappen, seine Wirksamkeit in schnelleren Decks einschränken. Für bestimmte Strategien gibt es möglicherweise bessere Karten, wie zum Beispiel Karn, Spross von Urza oder Stahlaufseher, die eine vielseitigere und unmittelbarere Wirkung auf dem Spielbrett bieten.
