Shortly before Chile’s 1973 coup, CIA agents Chris and Lee leave Santiago for Easter Island. Their bureau chief, MJ, has dispatched the longtime partners there, sending them far from the capital as political upheaval approaches. On an island known for its monumental statues, their assignment becomes entangled with old wounds and present-day conspiracies.

Chris and Lee are not simply colleagues on a new posting: they are longtime partners, and both are wrestling with dark pasts.
