Cauã Reymond

Cauã Reymond is a Brazilian actor and former model whose career developed mainly through television, film, and streaming productions. Born in Rio de Janeiro on May 20, 1980, he began modeling at eighteen and worked in countries including Japan and France before turning to acting. His television debut came in 2002, when he joined the cast of Globo’s youth drama “Malhação” as Mau-Mau. The role introduced him to a broad Brazilian audience and opened the way to larger productions.

In 2004, Reymond appeared in the telenovela “Da Cor do Pecado,” playing Thor. He subsequently worked in “Belíssima” and gained wider recognition as Halley in João Emanuel Carneiro’s “A Favorita” (2008). Halley’s relationship with Lara and his complicated family history made the character one of the production’s notable figures. Reymond reached an even larger audience in “Avenida Brasil” (2012), portraying Jorginho, a professional footballer involved in the central conflict surrounding Nina, Carminha, and Tufão. The novela became an international success and established him as one of Brazil’s most prominent television actors.

His television work has included roles with demanding psychological and physical dimensions. In “Passione” (2010), he played Danilo Gouveia, a cyclist whose athletic career is damaged by drug addiction. In the miniseries “Amores Roubados” (2014), he portrayed Leandro, a sommelier whose relationships lead to betrayal and violence. In “Dois Irmãos” (2017), based on Milton Hatoum’s novel, Reymond played the twins Omar and Yaqub, requiring him to distinguish two contrasting brothers within the same family story. He later starred as Dante in the series “Ilha de Ferro” and as Christian and Renato in the 2021 telenovela “Um Lugar ao Sol,” again performing twin roles.

Reymond has also appeared in Brazilian cinema. His credits include “Meu País” (2011), “Serra Pelada” (2013), and “Reza a Lenda” (2016). “Serra Pelada,” directed by Heitor Dhalia, follows two friends drawn into the violent world of illegal gold mining in Pará, giving Reymond a role far removed from his romantic television image. Across these projects, his career has combined popular novelas, serialized drama, and feature films, while his repeated portrayal of morally conflicted characters and doubles has become a distinctive part of his screen work.
