A deck that focuses on controlling the board and dealing damage to multiple creatures at once would benefit from including Swelter in its strategy. While Swelter is a decent card for its cost, there are better options available such as Anger of the Gods which deals 3 damage to each creature and exiles those that die. Swelter could see play in a budget deck or as a filler card until better options are acquired, but in a competitive setting, more powerful alternatives like Anger of the Gods would likely be preferred.
