Pothole Mole would be beneficial in a graveyard-focused green deck that aims to ramp up lands and utilize graveyard recursion. While the ability to return a land card from the graveyard to the hand can be useful for mana fixing and ramp, there are potentially better cards like Satyr Wayfinder or Sakura-Tribe Elder that provide similar effects with additional benefits, making Pothole Mole less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
