This card, Joint Exploration, would benefit a deck that focuses on ramping and card advantage, particularly in a blue-green deck that aims to accelerate its mana base and dig deeper into its library. While Joint Exploration offers a nice combination of scrying, drawing a card, and potentially ramping with the kicker ability, there are indeed stronger options available such as Explore or Growth Spiral which provide immediate ramp without the need for an additional cost.
