This card would be beneficial in a deck focused on cycling or discarding cards to trigger its ability and boost its power. Decks that utilize a lot of card draw or graveyard interactions would particularly benefit from Grisly Survivor. While there may be better cards with similar effects, such as Archfiend of Ifnir or Hollow One, Grisly Survivor could still see play in decks looking to capitalize on its ability and synergies.
