Foot Elite fits best in an aggressive Orzhov (white/black) go‑wide or combat-focused deck that wants to attack every turn and protect a key attacker—especially in token, Aristocrats, or low-curve creature builds where granting indestructible lets you swing safely into blockers or dodge damage-based removal while pushing extra damage; it’s particularly solid in Limited and casual builds that rely on combat. However, in competitive formats there are generally stronger options: Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Hero of Bladehold generate far more board impact in go‑wide decks, Thalia’s Lieutenant scales better in Humans, General Kudro of Drannith offers stronger tribal payoff, and cheap protection spells like Skrelv, Defector Mite or Selfless Spirit protect more efficiently without requiring an attack trigger; even Brutal Cathar often provides more immediate value.
