A deck focused on discard strategies, such as a black control deck or a discard-themed deck, would benefit from including Drainpipe Vermin. While it can provide some value by forcing an opponent to discard a card upon its death, there are more efficient cards like \[\[Burglar Rat\]\] or \[\[Ravenous Rats\]\] that offer similar effects without the need for additional mana investment. Drainpipe Vermin may not see much play in competitive Magic: The Gathering decks due to its relatively limited impact compared to other options available.
