A control deck that focuses on stalling the game and disrupting the opponent's spells would benefit from including Dovin, Hand of Control in its strategy. While Dovin's ability to increase the cost of opponents' spells and protect a key permanent can be useful in certain situations, there are more powerful and versatile options available in the current Magic: The Gathering card pool, such as Teferi, Time Raveler or Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, which offer stronger control elements and card advantage. Overall, Dovin, Hand of Control may not see as much play in competitive decks compared to these other options.
