A deck focused on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a sacrifice or aristocrats deck, would benefit from including Butcher of Malakir. It can help control the board and generate advantage by forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures whenever one of yours dies. While Butcher of Malakir is a strong card in these types of decks, there are potentially better options like Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos that have a similar effect at a lower mana cost, making them more efficient choices. However, Butcher of Malakir can still be a solid inclusion in the right deck and is worth considering for its powerful ability.

If you control more than one Butcher of Malakir and a creature you control is put into a graveyard, each of those Butchers’ abilities will trigger. Each opponent will sacrifice a creature each time one of those abilities resolves.

When the triggered ability resolves, first the player whose turn it is (if that player is an opponent) chooses which creature they will sacrifice, then each other opponent in turn order does the same, then all chosen creatures are sacrificed at the same time.
