Paris Filmes has released a dubbed trailer for Beware Boiúna, a horror film that pits a team of young doctors against a creature from Amazonian folklore. Jessica Rothe, Kiana Madeira and Logan Marshall-Green star in the film, directed by Mike P. Nelson.

In the story, the doctors set out on a humanitarian mission in the Amazon rainforest. Their arrival draws the attention of the Boiúna, an ancient predator that moves on both land and water. The team, which came to help people in the region, finds itself facing a threat described as relentless.

The creature gives the film its name. In Amazonian folklore, the Boiúna is a giant snake also known as cobra-grande, mãe-do-rio or senhora-das-águas. The film makes it the central threat, turning the doctors' journey through the rainforest into a fight for survival.

The cast has plenty of horror experience. Jessica Rothe appeared in Happy Death Day, while Kiana Madeira appeared in Fear Street. Logan Marshall-Green, also among the three leads, starred in Upgrade. Nelson directed Wrong Turn.

Tony Giglio wrote the screenplay with Alan B. McElroy, who worked on Wrong Turn. Beware Boiúna is expected to reach Brazilian cinemas on November 12; a release year has not been specified.
