A control or tempo deck would benefit from Whiplash Trap due to its flexibility in cost reduction and its ability to bounce multiple creatures, disrupting the opponent's board state. While Whiplash Trap has its uses, more efficient options like Cyclonic Rift might be favored for their more versatile and impactful effects. Whiplash Trap could see situational play in sideboards or in metas with a heavy creature presence.
