This Thornscape Familiar card would be beneficial in a red-white hybrid deck that focuses on casting a lot of red and white spells, as it reduces the cost of those spells by {1}. However, there are better cards like Goblin Electromancer or Baral, Chief of Compliance that provide similar cost reduction effects for a wider range of spells, making them more versatile choices. Thornscape Familiar could still see play in specific themed decks, but for overall efficiency, other cards might be more favorable.
