This card would greatly benefit a control deck that focuses on casting a high number of instant and sorcery spells to gain life and maintain card advantage. While Soulfire Grand Master provides valuable lifelink and recursion for spells, a potentially better card for this strategy could be Snapcaster Mage, as it allows for instant-speed spell recursion and flexibility. However, Soulfire Grand Master could still see play in decks looking to gain incremental advantage and stabilize against aggressive strategies.
