A deck that relies on wide board presence and creature combat strategies would benefit from including Kusari-Gama, as it allows for punishing attacks against multiple creatures. However, the Equip cost of 3 may be a bit high for more aggressive or efficient decks, so decks that can generate additional mana or have ways to accelerate their game plan might find better options like Sword of Fire and Ice or Sword of Feast and Famine for more immediate impact. Kusari-Gama could see play in slower control or midrange strategies that value the ability to clear out enemy defenses and maintain control of the battlefield.
