Kelsien, the Plague would be a strong addition to a Mardu-colored Commander deck focused on accumulating experience counters, as it can efficiently remove threats and grow in power. However, in competitive formats like Modern or Standard, there may be better options for removal and win conditions, such as Lightning Bolt or more efficient creatures. Overall, Kelsien could see play in casual Commander decks looking for a unique and flavorful assassin-themed build.

Each time Kelsien’s last ability resolves, it creates a separate delayed triggered ability. If you untap Kelsien and activate its last ability multiple times in one turn, they’ll each trigger when the appropriate creature or creatures die.
